Clapham Chamber Concerts is a non-profit community organisation that is dependent upon private sponsorship and funding. Many audience members choose to support us by becoming a Friend of Clapham Chamber Concerts. The annual subscriptions generated by our Friends scheme provides vital financial underpinning for each concert series and are of great importance to us.

What is the Friends scheme?
The Friends of Clapham Chamber Concerts are supporters, who appreciate the range of music played with vibrancy by young professionals. This unique style of concert going – the chance to intermingle with performers after the concert, the challenging range of musical offering, the pride in the Clapham founders – has encouraged audiences to become more closely engaged and the scheme provides expression for that support. Friends benefit from a discount on the concert ticket price. They are listed as a Friend on concert programmes and enjoy invitations to meet performers at a drinks reception and annual end-of-season party. The bar, both before each concert and during the interval, contributes to the atmosphere of CCC evenings. Audiences find themselves at a uniquely sociable musical event of which they are a part. |
Who are Friends?
Friends are mostly from the surrounding local community, who enjoy these evenings of professional music right on their doorstep. They are attracted by the diversity of musical offerings - from string quartets and song cycles, from Bach, Bartok and Mozart to Gershwin and Bernstein. The intimate setting and performers introducing their musical choices, encourages a uniquely close relationship between performers, the music and audience.
