Chopin's Ballades
Award winning pianist Chenyin Li performs all four Ballades by Frédéric Chopin

On 30 January, Clapham Chamber Concerts welcomes acclaimed international, award-winning pianist Chenyin Li. Chenyin will be exploring Chopin's Ballades in a rare performance of all four of these single movement pieces as well as music by Beethoven, Lizst, Debussy and Rachmaninoff.
The programme will be a rare opportunity to hear all of the incredibly beautiful Ballades as well as music that inspired them or was inspired by them. Prominent among these will be Beethoven's Piano Sonata in D minor, Op. 31 No. 2 "Tempest". In a selection of shorter works, Chenyin will perform the première of "Cliff Edge" a work by CCC Composer in Residence, David Wallace. Turbulence, heartfelt emotion and virtuosic pianistic skill will be hallmarks of this not to be missed concert. The performance, which includes an interval, starts at 7.00pm at St Paul's Church, Rectory Grove, Clapham. Tickets can be booked in advance from our Eventbrite page using the button below.
