Amanda Lake, Alexandre Pereira and Robin Green explore two romantic greats
|
On 6th March, Clapham Chamber Concerts welcomes Alexandre Pereira, principal French horn of the Welsh National Opera orchestra, and acclaimed pianist Robin Green. Alongside violinist and CCC Artistic Director Amanda Lake, they will be exploring the works of two romantic greats, Schumann and Brahms.
Opening with Schumann’s rousing Adagio & Allegro, the evening also includes his turbulent Violin Sonata No. 3, written towards the end of the composer’s life. Brahms’ Horn Trio completes the programme, a contemplative work tinged with grief, nevertheless concluding with great energy and joy.
