2025-26 Concerts

Friday 14 November 2025 (7.00pm)
Counter's Creek

launch their new album 'My Treasured Land'

Picture
Counter's Creek are delighted to return to Clapham Chamber Concerts on Friday 14 November to launch their new album 'My Treasured Land' which was released on OOB Records in August 2025.

The album is a collection of songs and instrumental compositions that describe life in London over the last 5 years (including under ‘lockdown’ restrictions during Covid) and also evoke the idea of escape to a rural idyll (namely the Lake District and Suffolk in two of the songs on the album). Themes of entrapment, environmental concern and wistful longing for a simpler, rural life sit alongside celebrations of municipal foresight (the planting of a cherry tree by Waltham Forest Council) and the innocence of childhood. Irish low whistles and flutes jostle up to traditional English folk songs and Celtic reels are fused with American Bluegrass and Indian music in this stylistically varied programme.

The  performance, which includes an interval, starts at 7.00pm at St Paul's Church, Rectory Grove, Clapham. Tickets can be booked in advance from our Eventbrite page using the button below.

Tickets:
£18.00 standard, £12.00 Friends of CCC and their guests, £5.00 children (5 to 18 years).
Universal credit and other benefits, pay what you can at the door.
