Known for high-quality performances in an informal and friendly environment, Clapham Chamber Concerts opens its 2024-25 season on Friday 4th October. Violinist and artistic director Amanda Lake is joined by pianist Robin Green in Bartók’s characterful Rhapsody No. 1, whilst cellist Leo Popplewell explores the visionary genius of Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No. 4 in C major. Finally, the three performers join forces in Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor, a work of epic proportions dedicated to the composer’s friend and mentor, Nikolai Rubenstein.
