A Christmas Soirée
Light music classics from Ensemble SW4
Join Clapham Chamber Concerts for an unmissable evening of light music, guaranteed to transport you to happier times and fill you with Christmas cheer at the end of a difficult year for all. Featuring clarinettist Jonathan Parkin, Ensemble SW4 led by CCC founder Amanda Lake, and music arranged by CCC composer in residence David Wallace, this is a special concert involving all three artistic directors of the series. The repertoire will include Christmas classics, excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet, music from Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, a fantasy on In a Bleak Midwinter composed specifically for this concert by David Wallace, 20th century light music gems and more! There will be two performances, at 6pm and 8pm. They will be limited to 30 socially distanced audience members, in line with Covid safety guidelines. |
