Performance on: Friday 21 June (7.00pm)
Brahms's Clarinet Quintet
and music by Ravel, Debussy and David Wallace presented by Ensemble SW4
Clapham Chamber Concerts presents its season finale concert for 2023-2024, on Friday 21st June. This wonderful programme has been a year in the works, and it promises to be a very special evening indeed, showcasing all three of their artistic directors: founder and violinist, Amanda Lake, will lead Ensemble SW4, clarinettist Jonathan Parkin will feature as the soloist in Debussy’s stunning and atmospheric Première Rhapsodie, and composer-in-residence, David Wallace, will present a new work, composed especially for this gala concert. The second half will be devoted to Brahms’s much-loved Clarinet Quintet, Op. 115, composed during Brahms’s last creative period, and considered one of his best instrumental pieces. You won’t want to miss this one!
There will be a single performance, with interval, for this concert, starting at 7.00pm. Tickets are available in advance via Eventbrite. |
