Counter's Creek
Folk music from the British Isles and beyond
Counter’s Creek are a London-based folk band who play mostly original music inspired by the folk music of the British Isles and beyond. Expect foot-tapping Jigs and Reels, traditional songs and 4-part harmony, dance grooves from Eastern Europe and West Africa and a whole lot more...
Their debut album was described as “modern sounding and atmospheric... sublime... merging so many elements of different traditions in such an elegant and smooth way” (Bright Young Folk). This will be an evening of impassioned, virtuoso performances delivered by engaging and witty musicians, conveying their passion for contemporary British and Irish folk music in their playing as well as encouraging the audience to join them in sea shanties and 4-part harmony! Tickets can be booked in advance from our Eventbrite page using the button below. There will be a single performance, with an interval, starting at 7.00pm at St Paul's Church, Rectory Grove, Clapham. Tickets: £18.00 (including OAPs), £12.00 concessions (those on benefits and under 25s), £10.00 Friends of CCC, £5.00 children under 12. |
