A Christmas Soirée
Light music classics from Ensemble SW4
Join Clapham Chamber Concerts for an unmissable evening of light-music, guaranteed to transport you to happier times and fill you with Christmas cheer at the end of a difficult year for all. Featuring clarinettist Jonathan Parkin, Ensemble SW4 led by CCC founder Amanda Lake, and music arranged by CCC composer in residence David Wallace, this is a special concert involving all three artistic directors of the series. If you were lucky enough to hear Jonathan’s first light-music concert ‘Clarinet on the Town’ back in 2017, you will be familiar with the unique retro sound world of clarinet, strings and celeste, and you’ll know you are in for a real treat this December. Repertoire to include Christmas classics, excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet, music from Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, a fantasy on In a Bleak Midwinter composed specifically for this concert by David Wallace, 20th century light music gems and more! Please note the change of date - Tuesday 15th December. We plan to put on two performances in the same evening at 6.00 & 8.00 pm with a maximum of 30 in the audience for each performance. No refreshments can be served. Ticket availability is restricted. Booking in advance by email only email: [email protected] £15.00, £12.00 concessions, £10.00 Friends of CCC, £10.00 children under 12. |
