Gems for String Trio
Music by Beethoven, Schubert, JS Bach and Jean Cras
Clapham Chamber Concerts presents its first concert of the new decade on 7th February 2020 with a beautiful and varied programme of string trio music. Series regular, Sophie Rivlin, is excited to return to Clapham with her good friends Flora Curzon and Ellen Blythe. Having played together in many guises over the years, the three musically multi-faceted and award-winning performers have come together as the Oliveros Ensemble to explore the string trio repertoire. Flora Curzon recently made her Wigmore Hall debut on Baroque violin after winning the Music Patrons Award at Royal Academy of Music and Ellen Blythe enjoys a freelance career after eight years touring the world as a member of the Philharmonia Orchestra. Oliveros Ensemble have chosen the much loved, sunny trio in D by Beethoven and Schubert's short and delightful Trio K471. The programme also features a few surprise gems - excerpts from the superbly arranged Goldberg Variations by Bach and a fantastic lesser-known string trio by Jean Cras. Tickets available at the door: £15.00, £12.00 concessions, £10.00 Friends of CCC, £5.00 children under 12. |
