Season finale: Schubert's Octet
and Quartets by Mozart and Krommer
Join Clapham Chamber Concerts on 14th June for a very special season finale concert featuring two of CCC’s artistic directors playing with with CCC ensemble-in-residence, Ensemble SW4. Violinist Amanda Lake, founder of the series, joins forces with CCC clarinettist Jonathan Parkin to direct one of the most significant works in the chamber music repertoire, Schubert’s Octet in F. This exciting concert represents the culmination of a series of concerts marking the 10th anniversary of the concert series, and will also feature delightful lesser known works by Krommer and Mozart, a true celebration of classical era chamber music for wind and strings. “Schubert’s Octet is one of my all time favourites from the chamber music repertoire. It will be a huge pleasure to celebrate this special 10th anniversary concert by rehearsing and performing this piece with our founder Amanda Lake.” (Jonathan Parkin) Tickets available at the door: £12.00, £10.00 concessions and Friends of CCC, £5.00 children under 12. |
