String Quartets

On March 10th, join CCC artistic director Amanda Lake and musicians from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in a journey through the string quartet repertoire. Haydn’s stormy String Quartet in F Opus 20 No 5 opens the programme, followed by Shostakovich’s String Quartet No 1, a homage to childhood. The concert concludes with Bartók’s emotional and folk-inspired String Quartet No. 1. Tickets available at the door: £12.00, £10.00 concessions and Friends of CCC, £5.00 children under 12 |
