Music by Gershwin, Ravel, Milhaud and Khachaturian
Join Clapham Chamber Concerts on Friday 11th March in an exploration of the 20th century cultural melting pot, from the boulevards of Paris to the streets of New York.
Experience French charm and playfulness in Ravel’s Menuet from Tombeau de Couperin and Milhaud's Suite, and be mesmerised by the jazz and folk overtones of Gershwin’s Preludes and Khachaturian’s Trio for clarinet, violin and piano. Performed by artistic directors Jonathan Parkin (clarinet) and Amanda Lake (violin) alongside pianist and founder Jessie Maryon Davies, this promises to be an entertaining evening of music-making. Please note: There will be two performances, at 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm. The concerts will adhere to Covid safety guidelines, including a limited number of socially distanced audience members.
