troupe: a recital
of music for cello, piano and voice with poetry readings
On 12th May, TROUPE will be returning to Clapham Chamber Concerts to perform a recital of music old and new for cello, piano and voice interspersed with poetry readings. With repertoire to include Shostakovich’s Cello Sonata, songs by Dowland and Berio, and original compositions by TROUPE performer Catherine Carter, this promises to be a reflective and inspiring evening. “We performed our first ever concert here at CCC over five years ago! Since then we’ve gone on an inspiring and enriching journey – experimenting with incorporating theatre and storytelling into our musical performances. This May we are delighted to return to St Paul’s and a more traditional recital setting to perform powerful music and poetry in a much loved venue.” Jessie Maryon Davies, pianist and founder of CCC and TROUPE. Tickets available at the door: £12.00, £10.00 concessions and Friends of CCC, £5.00 children under 12 |
