The Jubilee String Quartet
play a double bill of music by Haydn, Webern and Schubert
Clapham Chamber Concerts are delighted to welcome the Jubilee String Quartet, first prize winners at the Gianni Bergamo International Chamber Music Competition in 2019, to perform a double bill on 13th May - two concerts with different programmes.
Opening with Haydn’s String Quartet in D minor Op.103, the composer’s final offering to the genre, the first concert at 6pm also includes Webern’s sumptious Langsamer Satz and Schubert’s early String Quartet in E flat D. 87. The second performance at 8pm features Schubert’s last quartet, his String Quartet in G major D. 887. This is an ideal opportunity to hear an outstanding young ensemble prior to their performance at the Wigmore Hall coffee concerts later in the month. The performances will take place at St Paul’s Church, Rectory Grove, SW4. Tickets are available in advance via Eventbrite and include a special double bill price for admission to both concerts. Use the button below to make your purchase. Ticket prices as follows (discounted double bill prices for admission to both performances are in brackets) - early booking is recommended: £15.00 (£20.00); £12.00 (£16.00) concessions; £10.00 (£13.00) Friends of CCC; £5.00 children under 12. |
