Clarinet Trios by Brahms, Fauré and Rota
Three pieces for clarinet, cello and piano
Clapham Chamber Concerts continues its series on Friday 12th May with a stunning programme of music for clarinet, cello and piano. Artistic director and clarinettist Jonathan Parkin is joined by critically acclaimed pianist, Sebastian Stanley and cellist Daniel Bull, to perform Brahms’s much loved Trio in A minor, a mature work written by Brahms at the end of his career.
Gabriel Fauré’s beautifully lyrical and expressive Trio in D minor, another late piece by the composer written just a year before his death, also features in the programme, as does a trio by a less well known composer, the prolific Italian film composer Nino Rota, probably best known as the composer of the score for The Godfather. Three wonderfully varied works, performed by three exceptional artists, this promises to be a truly special evening. Tickets will be available at the door or can be booked in advance from our Eventbrite page using the button below. Please note, there will be a single performance, with interval, for this concert, starting at 7.00pm at St Paul’s Church, Rectory Grove, Clapham SW4. Tickets: £15.00, £12.00 concessions, £10.00 Friends of CCC, £5.00 children under 12. |
